The magic of tree barks
Trees and tree bark are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for us in our textile work.
These form the starting point for various experiments that we explore together.
In doing so, we work with free-motion machine embroidery and hand embroidery, combined with materials such as acrylic felt, panne velvet, Lutradur, Tyvek and Vliesofix. We paint, melt and shape materials, always with a focus on our trees and bark. .
We will examine different types of bark, both in their own right and as inspiration for creating abstract surface designs, resulting in a variety of small-scale pieces.
